Volunteers are the heartbeat of Foster Village Houston! As a volunteer, you will be the hands, feet, and faces of a community of support, helping foster families know they are not alone and meeting their practical needs when they are most needed.

Volunteer Opportunities

The Resource Center Team commits to one shift a week/month (whatever works best for your schedule) to come to our Resource Center in Old Katy for a few hours and help with the following:
Packing Welcome Packs
Assisting families who want to shop
Inventory tracking
Cleaning and organizing
And any other project we may have!
This team meets within our business hours, which are roughly M-F, 8:00 - 3:00.

The Delivery Team is a less scheduled and structured team on call whenever we have resources that need delivering to our families. We have a GroupMe that we add all of our delivery team members to, and they can claim deliveries on a first-come, first-served basis. This is great if you're looking for complete flexibility because you choose when you want to claim a delivery. This is also the only team that gets to see up-front the families we serve and connect with them meaningfully.

You can help plan and prepare fundraisers and events throughout the year. Prior non-profit fundraising or event planning experience is a plus. This team has a flexible schedule and time commitment.
